The Zamboanga-Basilan Integrated Development Alliance (ZABIDA), through the Campo Vida Agricultural Learning Center, an accredited Learning Site for Agriculture by the DA-ATI IX, officially launched the third batch of the Farm Business School (FBS) training for Coconut-Based Enterprises. This event, held in partnership with the Agricultural Training Institute IX and the Philippine Coconut Authority IX, took place last August 3, 2024, at Barangay Baluno, Zamboanga City.
This community-based training program, spanning 20 sessions, is funded by the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Program (CFIDP). It aims to equip coconut farmers with essential business and entrepreneurial skills to enhance both production and profitability. The program will run from August to October 2024.
Ms. Mary Jesamine Pollisco, a graduate of the first batch of the Training of Trainers on FBS is leading the sessions as the resource speaker together with Mr. Habil Tiblani, representing the Malandi Patalon Zamboanga City Agrarian Reform Association (MAPZACARA), both of whom will guide the selected farmers of Barangay Baluno throughout the training sessions.
