𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 | ₱𝟏.𝟕𝐌 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝟑𝟒 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 ZAMBOANGA CITY — In a continued effort to promote inclusive recovery and uplift the lives of vulnerable sectors, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 9 (DOLE 9), in collaboration with Co-Partner Zamboanga-Basilan Integrated Development Alliance (ZABIDA), Inc., formally turned over livelihood assistance to 34 qualified beneficiaries from various barangays in Zamboanga City on July 9, 2025. The turnover ceremony was held at Sutterville, San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City. The initiative, implemented under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), granted a total of Php 1.7 million worth of livelihood packages. The beneficiaries represented a diverse range of sectors including distressed Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), fire victims, persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, women, kasambahays, displaced workers, skilled individuals, solo parents, and local farmers. Each recipient received starter kits specifically tailored to their skills and livelihood needs, which included commercial cooking, fish and vegetable vending, nego-karts, baking and pastry, backyard chicken raising, and welding services.
