Peace Advocates Zamboanga Foundation (PAZ) is now accepting nominations for the Peace Weaver Awards 2024, an annual event that honors peace champions who have demonstrated selfless service, leadership, and a commitment to fostering peace and cohesion in their communities.
This yearβs theme, "πΎπ¨π΅π»π¬π«: π»πΉπ¨π΅πΊππΆπΉπ΄π¨π»π°πΆπ΅π¨π³ π³π¬π¨π«π¬πΉπΊ ππΆπΉ π·πΆπΊπ°π»π°π½π¬ π·π¬π¨πͺπ¬", emphasizes the need to identify and celebrate those who are transforming their communities through sustainable peace efforts, whether itβs by improving healthcare, advancing education, ensuring food security, protecting the environment, or promoting interreligious solidarity, culture and arts, and good governance.

The award is open to individuals (living or deceased), groups, associations, organizations, institutions, or communities who have:
β’Shown transformational leadership and selfless service for the benefit of others.
β’Promoted harmony and actively worked to resolve conflicts by bringing people together.
β’Modeled relationships that reject prejudice and promote peace.
β’Played a significant role in programs that support Health, Education, Environment, Agriculture and Food Security, Livelihood, Interreligious Solidarity, Culture and Arts and Good Governance.
β’Taken actions that resulted in a higher level of peace in their communities, particularly in Health, Education, Environment, Agriculture and Food Security, Livelihood, Interreligious Solidarity, Culture and Arts and Good Governance.

β’Nominees must be nominated by someone connected with their association, organization, institution or community.
β’Deceased individuals must have been alive within 15 years prior to the awards.
β’Nominations must include at least two independent written testimonials and, if available, documentary evidence (photos, videos, etc.). Submit two sets of all documents to the Search Committee of the Peace Weaver Awards at Peace Advocates Zamboanga Foundation, Inc., ZABIDA PDRC, Marcohon Compound, Suterville, San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City.
