Brgy. San Roque receives their Log Support addressing Poverty Reduction which took place last August 19, 2021 at the ZABIDA Centro de Paz y Desarollo. This is after their Log Support proposal was approved, for a start up, 60 sacks of rice, 5 IEC materials and supplies for book keeping were turned-over to the “Roqueans’ Bigasan” which was accepted by their Sectoral President, Cristina Timaan.

Barangay Secretary Ms. Krishaleen De Leon represented GAD focal person Hon. Aileen Feliciano in receiving their logistical support for their VAW and BCPC proposal “Community Advocacy Campaign Towards Opportunities.” They received a filing cabinet and sofa bed to serve as a leverage point in ensuring the proper filing and confidentiality of the VAW and BCPC documents.

Hon. Edgardo Delgado, Punong Barangay San Roque, shared his gratitude towards this great help in addressing livelihood needs of their sectors, and the support to their VAW and BCPC facility. He gave his word in ensuring the proper use and care of the given equipment and resources.

Present during the event was Dr. Grace Jimeno-Rebollos, ZABIDA President, who gave her enthusiastic message in having to work with the partner-barangay, and personally presenting the logistical support to them. The activity was led by the Governance component team with Program Coordinator, Mr. Khamar Amsain with Project Staff Ms. Chariza Gregorio/DRR and Mr. Arnold Balbuena/GAD.

The logistical support is part of the ZABIDA-Convenio 3 Project intervention in addressing Poverty Alleviation, VAW BCPC, and Participatory Governance. All equipment and appliances turned-over were results of a proposal crafted and submitted by the partner-barangay. The Convenio 3 Project is with the support of AECID and Manos Unidas.
