VAW, Poverty Reduction, Youth, and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Logistical Support

ZABIDA through its Governance Component had a successful Turning Over of Logistical Support to Barangays Tumaga and Tugbungan on June 17, 2021 at the ZABIDA Open Hall. The Log Support is implemented under Participatory Governance to address VAW, Poverty Reduction, Youth, and DRRM Agenda.

The turn-over activity was led by Dr. Grace Jimeno-Rebollos and facilitated by the Governance Component of ZABIDA-Convenio 3 Project led by Mr. Khamar Amsain, Program Coordinator. This is with the partnership and efforts of the community leaders Hon. Jacqueline “Jacky” Lim, Chairperson of Barangay Tumaga, SK Representatives of the barangay, Hon. Abraham Rojas, Chairperson of Barangay Tugbungan, and SK Representative of the barangay.

For barangay Tumaga, Hon. Renante Javier, VAWc focal person on GAD- Community received the log support of Sofa set and Refrigerator as VAWC facility equipment. Hon. Leah Rose Marcial, SK Chairperson and Mr. Roden Valiente, TAYO (Tumaga Action for Youth opportunities) Representative, were able to achieve log support for Youth- Reproductive Health Awareness through procurements of Chairs and tables.

For barangay Tugbuungan, Ms. Editha Raz Santos, focal person received a log support of sofa set, chairs and tables for GAD- VAWc Temporary Shelter. Hon Rogelio Bernardo achieved log support for the DRRM- Reduction of Widespread Fire and Casualties by procurement of Water tank and Pump for penetrator. A laptop and projector set was given as log support for the Youth – Project BAHA (Bridging, Advocacies, Harness Awareness) spearheaded by SK chairperson Christian Jade Sanson and Youth Representative John Rey Casten of Kabataan and Pag-Asa.
