Annual International Human Rights Day 2017 Celebration

Zamboanga-Basilan Integrated Development Alliance, Inc. (ZABIDA) in partnership with the City Commission on Human Rights, the Federation of Zamboanga City Civil Society Organization (FZCCSO) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) gathered the various sectors from different ZABIDA-Convenio Project Partner-Barangays and Partner Institutions to celebrate the International Human Rights Day 2017 on December 14, 2017.

Sector Representatives from the Youth, PWD, Women, Farmers, Indigenous People, and the Informal Settlers, were given the opportunity to share their accomplishments in their socio-civic involvements and initiatives for year 2017.

Partner Government Institutions provided affirmation on the programs and projects initiated by the sector groups. Affirmations were given by the City Social Welfare Development (CSWD) Office through its Head, Ms. Socorro A. Rojas, the Office of the City Agriculturist (OCA) through the City Agriculturist, Mr. Diosdado Palacat, the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) through Engr. George Jucotan, Officer-in-Charge of NCIP-Zamboanga, the City Planning and Developmeng Office (CPDO) through Mr. Christopher Jessie Lapinid, CBMS Focal Person, CPDO, and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) throuh Dir. Mohammad Taha Arakama, City Director.
