The organization conducted a “Stakeholders’ Consultative Meeting for Disaster Preparedness” on Friday, Sept. 26, at the ZABIDA conference room, Suterville, this city.
This is in line with ZABIDA’s plan to help in increasing Disaster Preparedness by improving existing facilities to be used in case of any emergency or disaster that may happen in the City of Zamboanga.
Invited representatives from different government offices, civil society organizations, religious, business and security sectors came to participate in the said activity.
“With all our experiences during the siege, this is the best time for all of us to coordinate more with each other,” Fr. Angel C. Calvo, cmf ZABIDA President told the group. He also lauded them for gracing the invitation for this meeting which is very helpful to the organization for identifying the evacuation centers that needs rehabilitation for disaster/emergency use.
ZABIDA envisions that through this meeting, it will lead to strengthen the collaboration of the Government, Private sectors and Civil Society Organizations for the delivery of services to the communities.
