30 Farmers of La Paz enhanced their skills on Natural Farming

Thirty (30) farmers of Barangay La Paz underwent a training on Natural Farming Technology or organic farming and vermi-composting on September 12 at Bunguiao Eco-Farm Park, this city.

The objective of the said training was to enhance the skills of the farmers in Natural Farming by producing their own organic fertilizer.

The participants had an in-depth discussion regarding the said organic farming the entire morning and had a hands-on training on how to produce some organic fertilizers such as Fermented Fruit Juices (FFJ), Fermented Plant Juices (FPJ), Fish Amino Acid (FAA) and Indigenous Micro-organism (IMO) in the afternoon.

The resource persons for the said training were Reach Out to Others Foundation (ROOF) Program Staff Mr. Dennis Alberto, officers of the Federation of Upland Farmers Association-District 4 (ZC) namely Mr. Joseph Ledesma and Mr. Amil Hiyang.

At the end of the training, participants who were flower, fruit and vegetable farmers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and resource speakers. Accordingly, this can hugely help them in spending less, producing better quality products and possibly earning more.

The said training was spearheaded by the Barangay Council of La Paz in partnership with Peace Advocates Zamboanga, Reach Out to Others Foundation and Federation of Upland Farmers
